Superb Carved Oak Livery Cupboard

Unusual English oak livery cupboard, with extensive well executed carving to the front and sides, a castellated lower frieze and a gun barrel and reel turned leg.
Historical Note: Cupboards such as these were used for storing food in the bedroom for consumption during the night, as it was the custom to sleep, wake, eat, and sleep again.
