Carved Oak Settle

Delightful English carved oak box settle of diminutive proportions. Possibly the prettiest settle I have owned. the joiners choice of timber was excellent and the colour throughout is delightful. The panels carved with pairs of lozenges and flower heads separated by stylised tree of life carvings to the styles, the crest decorated with floral fans and flower heads while below a guilloche carved rail completes the back. The arms are raised on a graceful baluster enclosing the hinged seat. Condition throughout is excellent, a lovely cottage piece.
