Scottish Earthenware Jug

Unusual large earthen ware jug with flowering rose in high relief to one side, The snuff taker & The smoker to the other. This jug was possibly made as a personal item by a worker in a utilitarian ceramics factory manufacturing clay drainage pipes. The rose decoration is of a “folk art” rather than professional nature.
